why is it?

After so much buggering about, I seem to have finally made it to the 'posting stage'

Dick Smith you may recall was very vocal is suggesting that we all buyaustralian products, thus keep Aussies in jobs and the money in Australia. He railed against foreign imports and the money paid for them going out of Australia.

I was in Dick Smith's store at Bateau Bay buying some batteries and that there is a Dick Smith brand, MADE IN CHINA!!!!. Presumably this means that Mr Smith has imported these batteries, put his own name on them and paid for them with Aussie dollars which will find their way to China, eventually.

One can only wonder how many other Dick Smith products are made overseas and imported under his name.

Do I smell hypocrisy
